Energy transition

Tarchini Group’s energy transition stems from a concrete commitment: to make the way the Group’s properties produce, use and consume energy more efficient and sustainable. The photovoltaic systems installed on the roofs of the buildings and the wood-chip district heating plants are two complementary pillars of the Group’s energy strategy: on the one hand, the production of renewable energy; on the other, the heating of buildings using a local and sustainable energy source. Together, they help significantly reduce reliance on fossil fuels and the environmental impact of the properties.

Tarchini Group’s sustainability strategy therefore goes beyond energy savings. The aim is to progressively transform the Group’s energy model by enhancing existing properties, increasing the use of renewable energy sources and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Circular economy

For Tarchini Group, sustainability also means making responsible construction choices focused on reusing resources. One concrete example is the use of timber from trees felled by Storm Vaia to create the interior fittings of FoxTown’s new area and connecting walkway. A material originally destined for disposal was recovered and repurposed, becoming a distinctive architectural feature. This project demonstrates how circular economy principles can be applied in practical ways within the real estate sector, reducing waste and giving new life to existing resources through sustainability and innovation.

Sustainable mobility

Tarchini Group promotes practical solutions to encourage more sustainable mobility and reduce the environmental impact of travel. A direct connection between Mendrisio San Martino railway station and FoxTown allows visitors to reach the centre conveniently via a covered walkway, making the train a practical alternative to travelling by car. Those choosing this mode of transport can also benefit from the Green Ticket initiative, which offers a 10% discount on outlet prices at participating stores.
At the same time, the Group is investing in electric and active mobility. In addition to the charging stations already available at FoxTown, further charging points are being installed at FoxPark, together with a covered and secure bicycle parking facility to encourage cycling.
